Baskin Robbins once made ketchup ice cream. This was the only vegetable
flavored ice cream produced.

Ummmm….that’s kind of gross. I eat ketchup on almost everything, and I
wouldn’t eat ketchup ice cream. I have been known to even eat ketchup on
my scrambled eggs. Ketchup ice cream is definately pushing it.

Grigory Rasputin

1916 — assassinated: poisoned (cyanide), shot (3 times), and thrown
into a river.

Apparently they really wanted to get rid if him. He was a close friend
of Czar Nicholas II and his family. It was rumored that he even cured
Alexi’s hemophilia. He didn’t, though.

Margaret Mitchell - author, Gone With the Wind

1949 — On August 11, she was crossing an Atlanta street on her way to
the theater when she was hit by a speeding cab. She died of her injuries
five days later.

Another shame. I loved her book. If she had lived, maybe she would have
written the sequel instead of Alexandria Ripley.

Leslie Howard’s civilian plane was gunned down by German aircraft during
World War II.

It was actually in 1943, towards the end of the war. I think that that
was a shame. Leslie Howard was a good actor. He played Ashley Wilkes in
the very popular "Gone With The Wind". I don’t know if he played in
anything else, but he shouldn’t have died like that. Nobody should have
to die like that.

Nicolae Ceausescu, the Romanian president in 1989, was executed on live
TV, along with his wife

Imagine having the whole world see you die. That would not be pleasant.
I wouldn’t want my family to have to watch me being executed on live TV.
Imagine how that must make their families feel. especially if you’re a
celebrity, or a president, or somebody famous.

Driveway Alarms

Driveway
Alarms
…something I never really thought about having. With more
and more murders and burglaries happening every day, though, I might
just look into getting one. It’s basically an infared sensor that will
sound whenever something crosses its path, letting you know about it.
And it’s cheap, too. It’s only $18.95, plus tax. Not a bad deal for a
little more security in your home. It’s also weather resistant. Not bad.
Not bad at all.

A year is exactly 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes, and 46 seconds long.

Who calculated THAT? Did he not have anything better to do with his
time?

Start Your Own Business!

Filed under: General Happenings In My Life — admin @ 1:06 pm

I mean it! This website offers everything you need to start your own
business! They offer it to all 50 states, too! They even have a
frequently asked questions section. They suggest business structure and
how to run your business so that it becomes successful. Their fee? They
only charge $89, plus state fees. That is all it takes to get the
paperwork going for your business, whatever it may be. For all you
people out there that has always wanted to start a business, this is the
website for you. They are part of Georgia
corporations
, so I guess that means that if you live in Georgia,
you’re really lucky to live near where the headquarters of this website
is stationed. Or something like that. They even offer affiliate programs
for those that want to work with them and get a commission on the work
they do. Isn’t that great? I think so. Although, I have never been the
type of person that would start her own business. Now, that I think
about it, maybe I will. Then again, maybe not. It depends. Who knows?
It’s something to think about, anyway. I mean, I wouldn’t want to have
my business fail, or anything like that. That would be bad. Very bad.

The father, mother, and brother of Olive Oyl (from the TV show Popeye)
are named Cole Oyl, Nana Oyl, and Castor Oyl, respectively.

I don’t think that I would want to be part of that family!

IBackup

Filed under: General Happenings In My Life — admin @ 12:34 pm

IBackup is an Online Storage unit.
It also provides online backup folders. No more floppy disks to lose!
Plus, they have security against online hackers, and identity theives.
At least now you can save information where it will be right at your
fingertips, instead of having to search around for this floppy disk or
that one, and then figuring out that you’ve lost it permanaently or it
was damaged beyond all repair. Same with CDs. No more scratched or
cracked CDs to get frustrated at. That would be really cool, in my
unbiased opinion. IBackup is the way to go. Try it today!
